Nigeria poster boy Wilfred Ndidi will be rested in Sunday’s final Group B match against Madagascar in Alexandria.
The Leicester City star has been a revelation in his tournament with some solid displays as a defensive midfielder in his first Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) assignment.
From what transpired at the training ground, Ndidi will be replaced by Hapoel Beer Sheva star John Ogu in the starting line up.
He has been key for the Super Eagles and head coach Gernot Rohr would like to rest him their quarter-final campaign.
Ndidi was named man of the match in the 1-0 win over Burundi in the group opener.
