Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr is concerned about more individual errors costing them dearly in the second round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Cameroon, reports Futbalgalore.
A defensive mistake saw them beaten by underdogs Madagascar in their final group match, thereby surrendering top spot and a potentially-easier tie against DR Congo.
The repercussion is a tantalizing duel with bitter rivals Cameroon at the Alexandria Stadium on Saturday.
“I hope we won’t have individual errors again that will cost us,” the former Niger Republic gaffer said.
Saturday’s tie will be the seventh AFCON encounter between Nigeria and Cameroon.
The Super Eagles have won six of their last seven AFCON games, the only exception being against Madagascar in their most recent fixture.
