Nigeria striker Tosin Ayegun shone like a million stars in the UEFA Europa League Qualification first leg match on Thursday, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The forward scored and provided an assist as Latvian Virsliga outfit Ventspils destroyed Teuta Durres 3-0 at the Olimpiski centr Ventspils.
Mikhail Sergiychuk benefitted from the generosity of Aiyegun to put Ventspils ahead after five minutes.
The game was a bit cagey in terms of chances until 78 minutes when Giorgi Mchedlishvili registered his name on the scoresheet.
Aiyegun Tosin ended the match as a contest with a perfect finish from close range.
2013 FIFA U17 World Cup-winning midfielder Abdullahi Alfa wasn’t dressed for the game.
Aiyegun has been in red-hot form since the start of the season in Latvian Virsliga, scoring eight goals in 18 league matches.
Next week Thursday’s second leg, which is effectively a dead rubber, will be staged at the Stadiumi Niko Dovana in Albania.
