Shaanxi Chang’an Athletic have confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker John Owoeri on undisclosed terms, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The club was founded on 30 March 2016 by co-raise funds of eight companies based in Xi’an, Shaanxi.
Shaanxi Chang’an Athletic are currently 11th in the 13-team Chinese League One and Owoeri has joined up with his new teammates.
He previously represented Nigeria Ports Authority, Bendel Insurance, Enyimba, Heartland, Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars, Shanghai Shenxin, Baoding Yingli Yitong, BK Hacken, åtvidabergs FF, Ismaily and Westerlo.
Nigerian strikers Daniel Chima (Heilongjiang Lava Spring), Aaron Samuel (Sichuan Longfor) and Dominic Uzoukwu (Beijing BSU) are on the books of Chinese League One clubs.
The 32-year-old will make his competitive debut for Shaanxi Chang’an Athletic against Qingdao Huanghai at the GuoXin Stadium on July 13.
