Molde swept aside KR Reykjavik 7-1 in their UEFA Europa League Qualification as striker Leke James hit a hat-trick at the Aker Stadion.
Leke James set the ball rolling with the opener after six minutes, before Fredrik Aursnes doubled the lead after 29 minutes.
Shortly thereafter, Leke James was ahead again and made it 3-0 following a corner.
The hat-trick was completed just before the break when he got a simple job of inserting Molde’s fourth, after lovely work by Wolff Eikrem and Haraldseid. It was Leke James’ 8th goal in the last four games.
The one-way operation continued after the break, although Molde calmed down the pace and steered the fight the way they wanted.
Vegard Forren scored from a corner after 64 minutes, before Etzaz Hussein finished netted in the 67th minute, after a wonderful delivery by Eirik Hestad.
KR Reykjavik got a consolatory goal just afterwards through Tobias Thomsen, but all the way up, Ohi Anthony Omoijuanfo also struck and set the final score to 7-1.
The return leg will be played in Reykjavik next Thursday.
