Liverpool are preparing a deal to send their highly rated striker Taiwo Awoniyi out on loan for the 2019-2020 campaign, reports Futbalgalore.com.
Taiwo Awoniyi was close to achieving his childhood dream when he signed for Liverpool in 2015, hoping to get the needed paperwork as soon as possible.
Awoniyi was with KAA Gent for the first half of 2018/19 before switching to Royal Excel Mouscron.
He has been ineligible for a UK work permit, and is unlikely to qualify again this summer, therefore should leave before the start of the new season.
Nigerian striker Awoniyi is attracting interest for a permanent deal, with Schalke having already made an enquiry and Mainz, Hertha Berlin, Club Brugge, Metz, Nice and Toulouse all monitoring the situation.
The player is now close to moving on loan to an ideal choice of club to develop the player for the next step in his career.
He bagged 11 goals for Gent and Royal Excel Mouscron in separate loan spells last term.
Awoniyi originally moved to Anfield from the Imperial Soccer Academy in his homeland of Nigeria.
He’s represented his country at U23 level and has spent the last four seasons on loan at FSV Frankfurt, NEC Nijmegen, KAA and Royal Excel Mouscron respectively.
The U17 World Cup winner is aiming to improve further in the coming campaign with a view to earning a call-up for the senior Nigeria national team.
