Super Eagles Manager Gernot Rohr has harped on the need for his wards to end the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on a high, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The three-time African champions were beaten by Algeria in the semi finals and they will need to defeat Tunisia in the third place playoff.
Speaking at a Press Conference attended by Futbalgalore.com, Rohr harped on the need to end the tournament with success over Tunisia on Wednesday in Cairo.
“We lost in the last second from a free kick. It was a disappointment for us,” the former Gabon coach said.
‘We analysed the match together and saw the video. It was a good match by us. Statistics were even better for us. We had 11 shots against their 6. To lose against Algeria isn’t a shame. We have to be positive. We want to finish very well.
“The match against Tunisia will be a different one. We have already fielded 21 players. We will see if all the 23 players can be involved. We want to end the tournament on a high,” the coach added.
