Nigeria left-back Ikouwem Utin made his official debut for Maccabi Haifa in a 3-2 win over Mura in the UEFA Europa League Qualification match on Thursday, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The defender played full throttle and help his side recorded an important win.
He put up an impressive performance on his debut for Maccabi Haifa at the Mestni Štadion Fazanerija (Murska Sobota).
The former Nigeria U20 defender was making his first appearance for Maccabi Haifa since joining from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club Enyimba FC.
He played so well and was a delight to watch as he put the brakes on the opposing attackers.
“It was a difficult game but I did my best. I am looking forward to the main league and I hope to help my team move,” Utin told Futbalgalore.com.
Utin, 19, will be hoping for a good spell at his new Club in order to get the attention of Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr.
