Nigeria striker Fanendo Adi plays for FC Cincinnati in the USA Major Soccer League (MLS), reports Futbalgalore.com.
FC Cincinnati have released a new design for their $250 million stadium, with the 26,500 capacity Stadium scheduled to open in March 2021.
The former Super Eagles invitee became Cincinnati’s first Designated Player when he was traded for up to $950,000 in allocation money from Portland Timbers in July 2018.
Adi has scored one goal in 10 appearances for FC Cincinnati this season in the MLS.
The 28-year-old Adi scored 54 goals in 126 appearances in the regular season during his four-year stint with Portland Timbers, whom he joined after playing for clubs in Denmark, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Three years before joining Portland Timbers in 2014, Adi made two appearances in the Nigeria Under-23 team. In 2016, he was called up to join the Super Eagles in an AFCON qualifier against Egypt, but his name was struck out by the time the final list was released.
