The Flying Eagles humiliated Next Soccer Star All Stars 4-0 in a friendly match played on Wednesday ahead of the 12th African Games which gets underway on 14th August in Morocco, Futbalgalore.com reports.
After a scrappy opening exchange, it was Victor Arikpo who produced the quality to open the scoring, as he picked out his spot to place a brilliant free kick into the bottom corner.
Success Makanjuola set up Peter Eletu who couldn’t get his shot on target as the Flying Eagles wasted the chance to double their lead.
In the 44th minute, Collin Sor swept home the ball with a beautiful finish after Saeed Jibril provided an assist for him.
The Flying Eagles wanted more after the break. In the 52nd minute, the lively Makanjuola cut open the opposition defence and laid it on a plate for Ghali whose effort struck the cross bar.
NSSAS’ woes was compounded by Saeed’s freekick which deflected into the net.
Substitute Adesina Issa Gata wasn’t left out as he put icing on the cake with a well taken goal.
