The General manager of Heartland FC Chief Chukwudi Ifeanyi on behalf of the Heartland family has congratulated her head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu on his telling contributions towardsthe victory of the Olympic Eagles over their Sudanese counterparts.
The efforts of Coach Ilechukwu fondly known as the “Working One” was highly significant to the Victory of the Olympic Eagles who spelt Sudan in an enthralling encounter at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Tuesday 10th September.
This victory ensures Nigeria’s participation in the Caf U-23 Again the last hurdle for qualification to Tokyo 2020.

“We are proud of Ilechukwu and the entire technical team of the Olympic Eagles. His presence, style and technical dexterity only goes to show that the reward for hard work is more work,” he said.
“We are proud to have him in our dugout which bodes well and speaks volumes about Heartland’s drive and objectives going into the new season and beyond. I believe that with the symbiotic relationship between Ilechukwu Imama and Boboye, the team is destined for the Tokyo Olympics.”
The AFCON Under 23 tournament begins in Egypt in November 2019 with the battle to represent the African continent in the football event of the quadriennal fiesta in the summer of 2020 in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
