In a five-goal thriller at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion, Debrecen were edged 3-2 by Ujpest in the Hungarian top flight on Saturday.
Tunde Adeniji and Haruna Garba found the back of the net for Debrecen.
Former youth international Obinna Nwobodo and Vincent Onovo were on the winning train.
Adeniji last played for Kuwait’s Al-Nasr and has also worn the jerseys of Atyrau (Kazakhstan) and Levski Sofia (Bulgaria).
The 23-year-old moved abroad from Nigeria Professional Football League side Sunshine Stars.
Haruna, who is 190cm tall, started his career abroad at Lithuanian top division side Kruoja Pakruojis in 2014.
