Kwara United General Manager Badawiy Bashir is delighted with professional performance against Rivers United at the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney.
The Harmony Boys pipped Rivers United 1-0 to set up a date with Lobi Stars in the final of the competition in Asaba.
Badawiy Bashir insists that his side are focused on building a structure.
‘It’s good for Kwara United to be in the final of the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney,’ he told Futbalgalore.com.
‘But at the same time you need to look at the team. We are building that. We are far from having a right competitive shape. There is a lot of work to be done.
‘We are a smaller horse that is in a competitive stage, so as a smaller horse we need to continue to be fed.
‘We are facing bigger horses that have been growing over a longer period. We are a work in progress.
‘We are also aware that while we are building, we also have a responsibility to our fans who want results.
‘But in all of that, we need to be aware of the process that we are on. This is the bigger picture,’ he concluded.
The Harmony Boys meet Lobi Stars at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney Final on Thursday afternoon with kickoff set for 3pm.
