Golden Eaglets Manager Manu Garba has commended for his morale boosting visit to the team ahead of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup which is scheduled to kickoff on October 26.
On Wednesday, the Eaglets will fly out to Sao Paulo, where they will set up training camp and play test games against Japan, South Korea and Sao Paulo FC.
The Minister paid the five-time world champions a visit to boost their morale for the U17 Mundial in Brazil.
The former Flying Eagles began in an interview session attended by Futbalgalore.com on Saturday: “It’s a blessing, all these while we have been anticipating his visit. It has served as a motivation to us all.”
“I am happy with the commitment the Minister’s has shown to the team. He has promised us that the needful will be done regarding our finances before we leave the for the World Cup. His words gives us additional motivation to go ahead to win the World Cup for Nigeria and Africa as well.
“In fact his visit is one of the best things to have happened to us and he gave us his words that all our needs will be met before and while we are in Brazil.
Nigeria will face Hungary in their opening Group B match on October 26.
