Organizers of #AhlanCup2019 have expressed their gratitude to clubs for their efforts in making the Community Outreach successful.
Friday 11th October was declared as a match free day, it afforded clubs the chance to reach out to the Communities.
Plateau United, Rivers United, Kano Pillars, Abia Warriors, Kwara United, Lobi Stars and Nasarawa United were involved in several humanitarian activities to give back to the society and also shared their experiences with students in selected Secondary Schools.
“Although I am possibly repeating myself following my words of praise to the clubs on various occasions during the tournament, I, on behalf of #AhlanCup2019 Organizers, would once again like to thank you for reaching out to the Communities and giving back to them,” Ahlan Cup Organizing Committee Chairman Barrister Isaac Danladi told Ahlan Cup Media.
“It really set the standard for all future tournaments, and will obviously be a difficult act to follow. It was great being able to to chat with so many children as well as feeling their pulse. Indeed the Community Outreach is a great advertisement for #AhlanCup2019 and Nigerian football in general.
“Additionally, I would like to thank you for the brilliant ideas put in place for the Community Outreach. It was superb.
“Enjoy your weekend as the tournament continues,” Barrister Isaac Danladi concluded.
Places visited on Friday are Day Science Secondary School, Nigerian Correctional Service, Nassarawa Children’s Home, VVF Centre, Tudun Maliki Special Education Centre, Rumfa College, GSS Kofar and GSD Stadium.
