THE Minister for Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare has commended President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Sanwo Olu and people of Lagos State for the level of work done in the ongoing reconstruction of the National Stadium and Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The Minister, who Tweeted after inspecting the areas covered so far in the reconstruction work, expressed his delight at the speed of work and development has been amazed by the level of work already covered and expressed his joy on that account.
Sunday Dare observed that the pitch at Teslim Balogun was receiving the best attention that would provide the country great relief and further praised the State Governor for springing such great surprises in the provision of facilities that would last the nation for a long time.
“As promised, I returned to the National Stadium, Lagos, today for an inspection with the Governor @jidesanwoolu. As partners in progress, @followlasg is a critical stakeholder in our quest to turn the facility around.”
President Muhammadu Buhari has made Sports top on his priority list and moves made by Sunday Dare has shown that the number one citizen in Nigeria is a man of his words.
“The commitment of the Muhammadu Buhari Govt to the revitalization of sporting facilities is demonstrable. The Youth and Sports Ministry have his support to develop our sports and we are building linkages that can deliver. The BPE, ICRC and LASG are committed to this.”
The Minister also showed gratitude to Governor and his Deputy for supporting moves to restore sporting facilities in Lagos State.
“I thank my brother Governor Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy Femi Hamzat for plugging into the renewed zeal to restore our sporting facilities to the glory it deserves. Not even the heavy rains could deter us. We are partners for development. Lagos is also ready.
