Nigerian striker Emeka Uzondu, has joined Renaissance on a two year deal that will see him help the Congo DR Ligue 1 side improve their goal scoring record.
The forward, who has impressed the technical team after less than a week of training, says he is pleased with his new home.
“It seems like a good move, and I’m happy to join Renaissance. The Ligue 1 has improved a lot over the years,” Uzondu said.
“I was waiting for good offers and there were good offers from Sudan and Algeria I was waiting and I told myself that something good is going to come, and then Mr Akachukwu Prosper called me and told me that one club from Dr Congo is interested in me.
“When I found out that it’s Renaissance I was happy, I was really happy.
Uzondu is expected to make his Ligue 1 debut against AS Vita at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte (Kinshasa) on Sunday.
