Golden Eaglets of Nigeria continued their preparations for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup with a 4-2 win over South Korea, Futbalgalore.com reports.
The team under the tutelage of Manu Garba have been perfecting strategies for the competition in Sao Paolo.
Divine Nwachukwu headed Nigeria into lead in the 6th minute.
Four minutes later, South Korea equalised through a penalty converted by Oh Jaehyeok.
Choi Minseo put Korea ahead with four minutes left to play in the first stanza.
Olakunle Olusegun was once again on target for Nigeria a minute later.
Olusegun completed his brace in the 86th minute and Charles Etim’s curly shot outside the box sailed into the net to make it goal number 4 for the Golden Eaglets on added minutes.
The Eaglets will play a third warm-up game against Japan as the big kick-off approaches.
Thirty three players are currently in Brazil and 12 of them will be dropped for coach Manu Garba to come up with his final squad of 21 for the World Cup.
The U17 World Cup begins on October 26 with Nigeria facing Hungary.
