President of Nigeria National League (NNL) side Remo Stars Sports Club Honourable Kunle Soname has attributed the improvement witnessed in officiating in the Nigerian League to Sports Journalists.
At a stakeholders forum in Abeokuta, the Administrator while harping on the need for teams to make solid recruitments ahead of the season said it is gradually becoming difficult to cheat as long as a team parades good players.
He said, “If you are strong enough, you will be very difficult to cheat.”
Soname added that “Our Football nowadays, officiating is getting better and better by the day. Three, four years ago, you get to see all sort of poor decisions, but now, I give credit to the New Media. If you do something wrong, they will post it online and everybody have the opportunity to see things. So the referees are becoming a bit more careful now.”
The Ogun State indigene who also own CD Fereinse in Portugal however added that he has prioritized a strong foundation and structure which makes the Football business thrive ahead of winning promotion ticket back to the elite division.
