Junior Chukwubuike Adamu’s second half penalty salvaged a point for FC Liefering in a 1-1 draw at Grazer AK, Futbalgalore.com reports.
Nigerian born striker Junior Chukwubuike Adamu converted from the spot in the second period after Gerald Nutz first half strike had given Grazer AK a deserved lead at Merkur-Arena.
Adamu was handed a staters shirt in the matchday12 Austrian 2.Liga battle on Friday. He has scored four goals in five appearances for Liefering this term.
Although Adamu was born in Kano to Nigerian parents, it’s Austria who have made the first move to cap-tie him.
The centre forward made his debut for Austria U18s against Switzerland in October 2018 and has earned three caps to date for the age group.
Adamu is seen as one of the brightest young talents in Austria and made his professional debut for the feeder team of Red Bull Salzburg, FC Liefering, in the 2 Liga in November 2018 at the age of seventeen.
