Midfielder Michael Ibe is happy that Plateau United got their 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season off to a winning start after last term’s problems at the club.
The Peace Boys only ensured NPFL safety on the final day of 2018/19, but beat Lobi Stars on Sunday.
Ibe climbed off the bench to provide an assist in the thrilling game.
“It was crucial to start this term in the right manner,” the former Abia Warriors and Akwa United attacking midfielder told Futbalgalore.com.
“We worked very hard over the pre season and we are happy that we collected a victory on the opening day.”
Michael admitted that he can make a difference for the Jos outfit in the 2019/20 season.
“I know how much I am worth and how much I can give,” he continued. “I’ll always give my all for this shirt – as I have done with other clubs.”
