Goalkeeper Chinedu Anozie insists that Plateau United have a right to dream ahead of Sunday’s clash against Jigawa Golden Stars, Futbalgalore.com reports.
The Peace Boys were a revelation in 2017 when they won the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to qualify for the CAF Champions League.
And having started their 2019/20 NPFL campaign with a 3-1 win over Lobi Stars, the Jos-based side are looking to again impress against newly promoted Jigawa Golden Stars.
“It’s only normal to dream,” Anozie told Futbalgalore.com. “I’ve been dreaming since I was a young boy. My father taught me that dreams help you to never give up, they enable you to reach objectives.”
Plateau United are being considered as serious NPFL contenders this term and Anozie thinks they’re good enough to beat Jigawa Golden Stars this weekend.
