Ibrahim Musa’s future as Kano Pillars manager appeared uncertain on Monday amid reports he was set to be dismissed.
Pillars were beaten 1-0 by Lobi Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week three at Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.
The reigning Nigeria FA Cup champions are yet to win a game so far in the three-week-old campaign.
Reports suggested the coach had showdown talks with the management – after which he was expected to lose his job if situations doesn’t improve in the next three games.
Musa, who took Pillars to the Nigeria FA Cup title in 2018 has overseen one loss and one draw so far this season. Both games have been home fixtures.
Some sections of the Pillars fans have already lost faith in the coach.
Assistant coach Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro, who used to play for the club, has been suggested as a possible interim appointment should Musa be sacked.
